2. So I watched Big Fan, with Patton Oswalt this last week. On the downside, many uncool things about this guy's life reminded me of my own. On the upside, there are a number of very important ways in which I'm not like him. Also, it gave me an idea for (part of) my NaNoWriMo story:

3. Went to my father's brother's wife's sister's son's wedding this past Saturday. I had a really good time and really wasn't expecting that. Thought I wouldn't know anyone but my cousins were there and a friend from school too. But I think that somehow makes us all related. The ongoing joke for Mauritians is that ALL Mauritians are related.

1. Yeah Cyberpumpkin I had 2 cysts removed from my scalp. Typically removing cysts is completed in the doctor's office in 15 minutes using only local anesthetic. It's a simple procedure.

Of course when it comes to health matters, nothing is simple for me!!!

Turned out to be a full-on operation in a hospital with general anesthetic and a tube down my throat. Even with the preparations it took almost twice as long as usual. The doctor called it "a pain in the butt".

2. A coworker noticed something I didn't: the swelling was draining out through my sinuses. It kind of slid down my face and out my nose. Slowly and annoyingly of course.

3. Instead of using stitches they GLUED the wounds closed!

1. Took my little nephew on a "ride" on my scooter today.

He was pretty impressed that he got to start it (disengage the engine-cutoff-switch and press the start button) and rev the engine. We rode up and back in the tiny little parking lot of a local pizza place, probably a total of 50 feet round trip.

Major coolness points for Uncle Me!

2. Took my sick baby compy to a "doctor" friend of mine. He said it's worse than he thought.

3. Good news: He'll probably wipe it and restore it to its factory state. Bad news: I am going to owe him a lot of ice cream.

1. What kind of computer problems are you guys having? After much research I started using a combination of Avast, CCleaner and Malwarebytes and haven't had any problems since.

2. Oh and go into add/delete programs and delete all Java installations and don't install it again unless it's vital to some program you're using.

3. Bought 'Super Swing Golf 2' for the kids (which is Pangya for Wii) and wound up playing it myself last night for a few hours when everyone was asleep. It's fun!

1. Went for my surgery follow-up visit today. They weren't cysts, they were distended veins with blood clots in them. Everything is fine and healing ok.
2. Getting itchy for exercise but need to wait another week or two.
3. Twitter is not very interesting to me but I'm going to give it a shot. I'm WatermelonBlade.

3. Bought 'Super Swing Golf 2' for the kids (which is Pangya for Wii) and wound up playing it myself last night for a few hours when everyone was asleep. It's fun!

My bro got Pangya for the PSP--I have "borrowed" the PSP for the better part of the year playing the game. Love it! every now and then he comes upstairs and laments the supposed loss of the PSP. It's in the same house, so it's not lost, right?

1. Why is it that most guys who are interested in me who are my age look like they are at least a decade older? I'm not sure if it's me, or if it is a sign they don't take care of themselves at all.

2. I'm trying to drink a glass of wine each night for the health benefits. This stuff tastes horrific, but at least I'm not retching anymore.

1. Not exercising suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks. Especially since we're having a heat wave. I like to exercise in excessive heat for some reason.
