Then I took Chocobo Princess to the book store and bought her a fair-sized stack of books. I'm glad I've been working a little overtime lately.

1. Mom's neck has been bothering her since the accident. She is going to the chiropractor today. My back is sore but I am trying to figure out if it is just residual soreness from the accident or if something is actually out of whack. At least there was nothing to call paramedics about.

2. The podunk little insurace company they had was not even open on the weekend so I have to call today to report an accident from Saturday.

3. Don't feel like going to work today, but then again, I usually don't.

1. Can you and your mom get checked out? I hope so. I was in a rear-collision accident and didn't get checked out. I regretted that quite a bit, but not for, like, six months.

2. Hey Cyberpumpkin... what's so great about the knock-offs?

2. Um... I'm not really sure. I've never really tried to analyze it before. I think at least part of it is that finding treasures among the knockoffs in Chinatown were one of the chief joys for me while I lived in L.A., which was generally a rought time of my life. I like that they are considerably cheaper than the legitimate versions they are based on, but since I mostly like them for display purposes anyway, I don't need them to be particularly sturdy. I like the slight feeling of subversiveness of owning something something that would cost many times more if I bought the "real" thing that is coveted by collectors. I like how the zaniness of the Engrish printed on the packaging sometimes seems to have sunk all the way into the brittle plastic, so you end up with little idiosyncrasies like missing joints or wacky color schemes or parts that seem to be taken from other toys and modified to go together. Even when the item is complete garbage (which I get once in a while), it's fun to dream about chopping it up for customization (which I've done a couple of times).

3. Um, yeah. I absentmindedly pick at the tip of my thumb with my other fingers... I've just started putting a band-aid over it because I keep picking it until it bleeds. Now my thumb is all slippery so I have trouble tying my shoelaces tight enough. Derp derp.

I figured you were taking that stuff because of something heart-related. So with your leg, was the worry that something should have been clotting to heal but wasn't? Or. . . ?

2. And yeah, I was worried about internal bleeding. But the doctor said when that happens it gets in your muscles and they tense up like rock and it is very painful, none of which I was experiencing.
3. I really like my new flash drive. It's about 1/3 the size of a regular one!

I was at Toys R Us because one of the last Transformers to come out for some time that I actually want is exclusive to that store (darn it), and I saw Leader-Class Bulkhead discounted to half-price... I had to get it! It's so cute and it'll go perfectly with my family of other Bulkheads! But I promised ChoPri that I'd lose at least 20 lbs before I open it.

3. Now I have to sign off so I can go jump around to the music!

1. I have a pixiv account! But I don't know how to read CML, so I'm kinda stuck.

2. Weighed in at 226 lbs. today. My ultimate goal is 180, or fitting comfortably into my courderoy trousers again, whichever comes first. At 221, I my prize is a little blue knockoff Animated Bumblebee.

3. Wait, there's going to be a second volume of the Transformers Animated Allspark Almanac!? I thought the first one was completely comprehensive! And Transformers: War for Cybertron is coming out on the Wii?! Crap! I was hoping to sour-grapes out of buying that until there are enough games to get for PS3! Being a Transfan will make me somewhat poar even if I completely avoid Bay-verse stuff.

1. City of LA is insisting I owe them megataxes. It's kind of frustrating ... sent them communication before but unacknowledged, SO this time emailed and sent certified mail trying to inform them that tehre's no way in heck I made 250k last year in LA at Anime Expo
2. I think the problem isn't that I don't want to do art. It's just that I don't feel like coloring painting. I'm enjoying sketching and drawing plain stuff. Maybe I need to pay someone to finish my colors
